FullPress, the Leading Prepress Server Package
FullPress is an "all-in-one" prepress solution that allows Macintosh work groups to confidently harness the speed and power of a central server. System-wide savings include more efficient use of disk space, reduced network traffic, and more reliable image processing; all of which save time and money.
The easy-to-maintain software package contains Xinet's proven AppleShare networking software which provides fast, seamless file sharing between MacOS users and a central server. The print server software allows everyone on the network to print through the central server to any PostScript printer or imaging device so print jobs clear the Macs much faster. The OPI server software combines efficient image substitution with unique features that allow designers and printers to work faster, with complete confidence that they will get correct output every time! In fact, FullPress extends the OPI specification, supporting page layout features that are not available to users of other OPI servers.
There are no surprises with FullPress. If your page layout program can do it, FullPress can handle it. The software allows users to do as much with FullPress "For Placement Only" (FPO) files as they can do with high-resolution originals. FullPress employs a unique solution for linking high- and low-resolution images by providing users with two views of a single image file. As FPOs are actually embedded within their high-res source files, the server never loses the relationship between them. That means you always get correct image substitution when you print.
WebNative, an Image Management & Distribution Tool
WebNative, a companion to Xinet's FullPress Prepress server, allows commercial printers and prepress shops to extend the services they provide and strengthen their relationships with their customers. WebNative gives commercial printers and prepress shops the ability to distribute low-resolution "For Placement Only" images (FPOs) and high-resolution digital art to their clients over the World Wide Web via a standard Web browser. In addition, WebNative enables printers to maintain easily accessible digital libraries for their customers.
